VSC Training Course: Shared memory parallelization with OpenMP

The focus of this 2 days course is on shared memory parallelization with OpenMP for dual-core, multi-core, shared memory, and ccNUMA platforms. This course teaches OpenMP starting from a beginners level. Hands-on sessions (in C and Fortran) will allow users to immediately test and understand the OpenMP directives, environment variables, and library routines. Race-condition debugging tools are also presented.

This course has been originally developed by Rolf Rabenseifner from the High-Performance Computing-Center Stuttgart (HLRS) and is organized in cooperation with HLRS.

Registration will start on March 4, 2020.

Registration deadline is Wednesday, April 1, 2020, with priority rules. Acceptance will be approved on April 2, 2020. As long as seats are available there will be an extended registration period without priority rules.

Priority for acceptance: first - active users of the VSC systems, second - students and members of Austrian universities and public research institutes, third - other applicants.

The course fee includes also a copy of the handouts and coffee breaks (lunch is not included).
